Red Ribbon Essay Winners

The Baldwin County Sheriff"s Office is proud to announce the winners of the Red Ribbon Week Essay Contest. Students in the 4th, 5th, and 6th grade of all Baldwin County Public Schools were invited to participate. The essay"s topic was to be "How and why I live a drug free life". Third place winners won a MP3 Player. Second place winners won a Portable LCD DVD Player. And, First place winners won a Bicycle. All winners were announced during a special ceremony held on January 6th at the Baldwin County Commission Chambers in Bay Minette. The prizes were donated by Wal-Mart (Fairhope), CVS (Robertsdale), and Target (Daphne).

First place winners were, Brionna McCall, 4th grade Perdido School; Zachary Koptis, 5th grade Perdido School; and Leanne Phillips, 6th grade Pine Grove School.

Second Place winners were, Julian White, 4th grade Daphne Elementary East; Taylor Smith, 5th grade Magnolia School; and Jaylee Madison Dempsey, 6th grade Orange Beach Elementary. Third Place winners were, Samantha Gilliam, 4th grade Perdido School; Amber Wester, 5th grade Magnolia School; and Cortney Presley, 6th grade Bay Minette Intermediate School. Congratulations to all winners!
